Traditional scoring models auto-decline the people who would have repaid. BPS recovers them.

What It Does

Behavioral credit signal for the populations traditional models cannot see.

BPS generates a behavioral prediction score for credit decisions in thin-file and no-file populations — the segment that FICO declines not because the person is a bad risk, but because the bureau has insufficient history to score them. The Brain evaluates behavioral signals across financial responsibility, planning horizon, stability under pressure, and commitment follow-through — dimensions orthogonal to bureau tradeline data. The score functions as a standalone decision signal or as a bureau supplement, and is updated continuously as behavioral signals evolve.

Who Uses It

Fintechs. Digital lenders. Credit unions serving underbanked populations.

Fintech lenders expanding credit access to thin-file consumers without increasing loss rates. Digital banks building credit products for populations their bureau-based models auto-decline. Credit unions with a mission to serve underbanked communities who need an alternative signal for responsible credit extension. Any lender who has recognized that bureau absence and credit risk are not the same condition.

Capabilities
01
Thin-File Credit Signal

Behavioral credit signal for applicants with insufficient bureau tradeline data for conventional scoring. Identifies behavioral patterns predictive of repayment in populations that traditional models treat as unscorable.

02
Repayment Trajectory Prediction

Measures behavioral indicators of payment commitment, financial planning, and obligation follow-through. Delivered as a structured credit score with reason codes compatible with adverse action requirements under FCRA.

03
Portfolio Risk Stratification

Continuous behavioral monitoring of an active loan portfolio. Identifies trajectory shifts — behavioral early-warning signals that predict delinquency and default before bureau reporting registers the event.

Compliance

What crosses the boundary — and what does not.

Lender Submits
Name · Date of birth · Email · Phone. Four fields the lender already holds. Hashed before transmission. No additional data collection from the applicant required.
Lender Receives
A structured Credit Score: scored outcome, measured confidence, behavioral reason codes, and a full audit-grade provenance chain traceable to the BERS Codex.
Stays Inside
No raw behavioral data crosses the boundary. The lender receives structured output only — the decision-ready signal, not the behavioral record The Brain evaluated to reach it.
Adverse Action
BPS-specific adverse action reason codes delivered with every outcome. FCRA and ECOA-compliant output structure. Full audit trail maintained for regulatory examination.
Access is gated by permissible purpose
Permissible Purpose Standard.

All BPS access flows through the BERS Permissible Purpose Standard (BERS PPS). Lender eligibility is assessed by the BERS clearing account. Qualified institutions receive an authorization code upon approval.
